My daughter has decided to attend Ball State, and we will definitely stay here again.

Free parking in the lot next door to the building and plenty of it. There is also a cafe, Two Cats, just half a block away that serves breakfast, although we did not go here. No breakfast is served but there is a food court downstairs in the Student Center with very reasonable prices. The location cannot be beat - just step outside and you are on campus. Prices are reasonable, plenty of room to relax in the evening - just bring warm pajamas in the winter! It was also very quiet. ) Overall, this is an excellent place to stay if you are visiting the university. The hotel is right inside the Student Union which also has a food court, bowling alley, barber, and Post Office. Coffee is also provided, but the coffee is not very good (ok, my second negative comment. 6 reviews of Ball State University Hotel 'The BSU Student Center Hotel is conveniently located on Ball State's campus, just one block from bars and restaurants. I liked that soaps and shampoos were plant-based and eco-friendly. Two spacious closets are provided, as well as extra pillows. Free Wi-Fi and a daily breakfast are provided. Hotel in Boise (0.6 miles from Boise State University) A free transfer service to Boise International Airport, just 3 miles away, is provided at the Boise hotel. Room was very clean and everything was in good working order. Residence Inn by Marriott Boise Downtown/University.

There is a dining table with four comfy chairs, a couch (sleeper sofa), easy chair and ottoman, two TVs, a nice clean mini-fridge, microwave, sink, two baths. Pros: Very spacious room with plenty of room for up to four people. Although we turned the heat up to 72, we were all still cold during the night.

There are no comforters or duvets provided, even on the bed, but just very thin blankets and a very thin bedspread on the bed. Cons: I did not mind the worn (but comfortable enough) furnishings, but the bed linens, I felt, were inadequate. The living room has a sleeper sofa the is somewhat lumpy but comfortable enough for a teen/young adult, or child.

The suite has a queen bedroom with a tv and it's own bath and there is a huge living/dining room, separated by a door from the bedroom, also with it's own bath and tv. We booked the suite and at 135/night for AAA rate, I thought it was not a bad price - not a great bargain, but nice enough for what it is - nice, clean, very spacious and elegant (but in a slightly worn, slightly aged way). We stayed here recently because my daughter was admitted to the university in the fall, and leaning toward enrolling - but she wanted to walk around campus on her own for a day before deciding. The closest hotels are west of the campus. This is a nice hotel, but dated and only one floor, apparently, on the third floor of the Student Union building on campus.
